A Solo Show for a Notorious Painter.
Ishmael’s latest work is organic and haunting, referencing his rebellious creative history while dramatically signifying his shift towards fine art. The work on display is refined and mature, but retains his trademark spirit and individuality. Using earthly elements such as fire, rust and copper, Ishmael creates elegant and organic compositions. The opening will feature murals, bold new paintings, and a small art-shop offering creative products inspired by the artist’s work. Launched June 1 at the Brooklyn Museum, the new Takashi Murakami Louis Vuitton collaborative combines the monogram and camoflage. The Monogramouflage collection features a variety of bags, including the Keepall 55 above. Select LV stores will be carrying them beginning this weekend and stretching into the second week of July
This past weekend the Vanish Project by Nexus VII was launched. The project consists of several high profile collaborations.
One series of luggage was done by Nexus VII, Stussy S.F. and Porter. It consists of a messenger bag, backpack, waist bag and some bi-fold wallets, all featuring a large vintage all-over print.
Another part of the project consists of a Original Fake x Stussy S.F. x Porter daypack, which comes in the already familiar Kaws cross eye pattern.
The product is available at Stussy S.F. as well as Nexus VII stores in Japan.
